Jayden Yen Dumont, also known as Jaydes and Evvls, is now on the run from authorities after being accused of involvement in an attempted murder.
The 18-year-old Florida-based singer, who began his music career on SoundCloud in 2020 and climbed to underground notoriety with tunes like ‘Slugs’ and ‘Scam Likely,’ has been accused of assaulting a young woman after she allegedly spurned his advances.
ExposingJaydes, an Instagram account, released details supposedly provided by Jaydes’ ex-girlfriend, including explicit depictions of the alleged occurrence. “He kissed me, and I pushed him off, saying no to sleeping with him,” the victim allegedly said in messages, before returning with a box cutter and scissors and beginning to stab me.
The claimed victim further stated that Jaydes ran away before the police arrived, so she went to the restroom and dialled 911. She claimed to have suffered injuries to her back, arm, and neck.
Jaydes’ Instagram account, which now has over 100,000 followers, has been completely deleted with no posts since the event. Since then, rumours about his location have been rampant on social media, especially X (previously Twitter), as users respond to the concerning charges made against the up-and-coming rapper.
The new fire is being fueled by the resurgence of Jaydes’ previous controversies. He allegedly misrepresented his age in messages to two minor girls in August of last year, which led to a separate incident in Los Angeles.
According to rumours, Jaydes, who is 17, told a 14-year-old girl he was 16 when they first met and allegedly had inappropriate interactions. The incident caused a great deal of resentment at the time and has made the subsequent accusations even more unpopular.
As of right now, Jaydes has not been arrested or responded publicly to the charges.
