Daniel “Dan” Hoh, a physician who was a part of the larger program universe and who worked as a writer for Station 19 for years, passed away on October 11. He was 45 years old. Rob Golenberg, Hoh’s manager, announced his passing. He served as an executive story editor on Grey’s Anatomy season 5.
Hoh enrolled in the CBS Diversity Writing Program and was hired by Jason Katims and Sarah Watson for the network’s Pure Genius show in 2016. In 2020, he joined ABC’s Station 19, rising to the position of producer in the show’s final season.
About Daniel Hoh
Hoh, who was up in Potomac, Maryland, served with the FBI for a while before enrolling in Vanderbilt University’s medical school in Nashville, Tennessee. Despite his success in medicine, he always sought to develop his artistic side and eventually made the switch to media by working as a TV reporter in rural Kentucky.
Hoh started international humanitarian activities because she was passionate about people and social justice. El Pozo de Via’s journey to Mexico City ignited his anti-human trafficking activity. Additionally, he and his spouse, Deborah, advocated for global human rights.
Shortly after becoming a father, Hoh received a multiple myeloma diagnosis, which put his fortitude to the test. At that point, he started working in television after discovering a new passion for telling stories.
When Hoh wasn’t writing for Station 19, he worked as an emergency room doctor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, where his kind treatment helped people from all walks of life. He was well-liked by both patients and colleagues because of his unshakable empathy and medical ability.
Hoh is survived by his parents, brother, son Dylan, and wife Deborah. For many years, Hoh was not just a client but also a friend of his agent Cindy Mintz of the Kaplan Stahler Agency and his manager Golenberg.
