Concerning Tri-West Hendricks High School
1975 saw the construction of Tri-West Hendricks High School, which was followed by the addition of a junior high school, known as Tri-West Middle School, in 1983. In 2003, a new junior high school was finished being built, and students in grades 6-8 moved into it. North Salem, Lizton, and Pittsboro High Schools came together to establish Tri-West, which was formed as a result of the unification of these three. An additional consequence of this was the establishment of the North West Hendricks School Corporation. Because it is still a part of the elementary school in Pittsboro, the old gymnasium is still there. Between the years 2008 and 2010, the high school had a renovation and expansion project. Middle, Union, and Eel River townships are represented by students in grades 9-12 at this institution. “Bruin” is the name of the school’s mascot. The colours that are used by the school are vegas gold and navy blue. This school is situated in a rural area, and it is primarily surrounded by agricultural property. The pupils are almost entirely of Caucasian descent, accounting for 96.5 percent of the total, hence this school does not have a diverse student body.
