Hazel Castaneda and Fernando Garcia passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2023. They were said to have died in a motor vehicle accident that happened to early Saturday morning in Port Isabel.

Ruby Martinez is planning a GoFundMe campaign to assist with the costs of the memorial service and funeral. Garcia left his two-year-old and two-month-old children behind. Burying him will cost at least $10,000, and cremation will cost $4,000.
