Autumn Nichole Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on November 5, she was 27 years old. She was a Pastry Chef at Balkan Treat Box.
Emilie Clement of Memphis, Tennessee, wrote on Facebook; “my dear friend, i don’t know how to get through this without you. you have been the brightest light in my life, especially the last few months. we laughed and cried together, we made things together, we cooked and cleaned together, we spent hours sitting side by side saying nothing to each other. and now you’re gone, and i don’t know what to do. i don’t know how to be. i love you more than you know, autumn. i hope the next life brings you so much joy.”
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Autumn Johnson on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ridge Room – Telva at the Ridge. PS: please do not wear black as they want to the celebration to be full of color like Autumn was.
Balkan Treat Box, a popular Webster Groves restaurant famed for its authentic Balkan food, has announced its closure while the proprietors grieve over a personal loss.
On Tuesday, the restaurant stated on Facebook that it was closing “until further notice” owing to unanticipated circumstances. The eatery declared on Wednesday that the family was suffering due to a personal bereavement. The restaurant will be closed momentarily.
