Alyson Shane of Winnipeg, Manitoba, president of Starling Social has died unexpectedly. Many things can be said about this lovely soul who passed away too soon. In grief, so many in her community have been reflecting and trying to recall every moment they shared. At the time of this report, her cause of death, funeral arrangements and obituary was not disclosed by her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Alyson Shane lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she spent most of her life. She have been writing and posting information online for more than 20 years. Starling Social blog was her personal blog, and she was the President of Starling Social. Since 2001, she have been releasing information online as a writer and award-winning company owner. She worked as the president of Starling Social, a digital marketing firm that has won numerous awards and was tucked away in the prairies. She blogged at night anytime she was off work.
Writing has been a helpful tool for her to express her creativity, record her life, and practice her rhetorical abilities. As you might have guessed, she was very much a blogger. She documented her life on her blog, where she organized her thoughts. She shared her with the world in this way.
Her Legacy
She was a finalist for the “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” award from Women in Business Manitoba. She became a member of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra board of directors. She also instructed a course on “AI and The Future of Copywriting” for the Business Administration department at The University of Winnipeg. She took part in the “Company Crawl Day” organized by the University of Winnipeg Business Administration Student Association.
Alyson Shane gave Volunteer Manitoba workshops on content strategy, social media fundamentals, and email marketing. She participated in the CancerMaps project as a volunteer. She created the “Marketing” session and gave a presentation at the “Community Youth Innovators Program” hosted by Volunteer Manitoba. She continued her webinar series for rural entrepreneurs through The HUBs Manitoba, and she gave a presentation to the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba on building a personal brand as a massage therapist. She also gave Theatre By the River a presentation on digital marketing for theatre. She became a board member of the Alumni Association of the University of Winnipeg.
