Brooks Young of Concord, New Hampshire, who was the lead Vocalist, Singer, Songwriter and Guitarist for the Brooks Young band has tragically passed away. According to Facebook posts, he died in a tragic car accident. His death has left his family and community members complete heart broken and devastated. His life was full of bliss and harmony while on earth. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
About Brooks Young and Brooks Young Band
The main guitarist and singer Brooks Young was the front man of the Concord, New Hampshire-based rock and blues group Brooks Young Band, which is located in New England. The band consisted of Charles (Chaz) Mitchell on bass and Mike Liane on guitar and backing vocals.
The Brooks Young Band’s first full-length studio album, Counting Down, was released in April 2010. The album’s title tune featured guitar work by Gibson Signature Artist Johnny A. Pittsfield, New Hampshire’s Rocking Horse Studio served as the recording location for the album.
The goal of Brooks Young & His Band’s music was to create a direct, emotional, and potent sound by incorporating blues and rock and roll elements into their compositions. The strong rhythm section blended in flawlessly with Brooks’ fiery guitar leads and heartfelt vocals, producing an uplifting and inspirational sound reminiscent of great artists like Dave Matthews and Eric Clapton.
Iconic performers like B.B. King, George Thorogood, John Waite, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, The Wallflowers, Boyd Tinsley of Dave Matthews Band, Byran Adams, Robert Cray, and many more have supported Brooks Young on his several US tours.
